Nepal is known
as the second richest country after Brazil for water resources potential. There
are about 6000+ rivers in the country. Most of these rivers originate in the
Mountain, Middle Hill (Mahabharat Lekh) and in the Churia Hill. The rivers
originated from the mountains are the snow fed rivers. The flow of water in
the river originating from the middle hill decreases during the winter. The
rivers originating from the Churia are non-perennial. Most of these rivers dry
up in winter season.
